This flamenco guitar was built by master craftsman José Salinas in 2025.
José Salinas was born in Almería in 1974. His art and skill as a guitar maker stem from his passion for flamenco, to which he has dedicated much of his life as a cantaor (flamenco singer), and from his love of wood, as his father, a cabinetmaker by trade, passed on to him the knowledge needed to work with this noble material during the more than seven years he spent working alongside him in his workshop.

Being a first-rate cantaor, having performed in some of the most prestigious stages and tablaos in Spain such as Casa Patas, Las Carboneras, Corral de la Morería, etc., and having shared the stage with artists of the stature of Joaquín Ruiz, Concha Jareño, Belén López, El Amir… allowed him to live surrounded by great guitars and guitarists that awakened and nurtured that innate love for the instrument he always felt.

His guitars stand out especially for their very personal flamenco tone, with impeccable acoustic quality and extraordinary playability—virtues that have managed to seduce great flamenco artists such as El Amir, Farruquito, Curro Prieto “Currito,” Antonio “El Ñoño,” Antonio Carrión, among others.

The woods of this flamenco guitar are of the highest quality available. The soundboard is made of German spruce, with a very pronounced, straight, and uniform grain that guarantees its quality. The sides and back are made of Indian rosewood with straight grain and beautiful shades. The finishes are sober and elegant.

This flamenco guitar delivers an exceptional sound. It has that deep, raspy tone with that unmistakably “Vicentero” character that we love so much. As we always say when we talk about Salinas guitars, the tuning is perfect and precise—something that might seem simple to achieve, but in reality is not, and this directly impacts tonal quality while greatly enhancing harmonic projection and sustain.
