This flamenco guitar was made by the luthier Lucas Martin, Bernd Martin´s son. He´s been working in his father´s workshop since 2006. That workshop is in “La Chumbera”, which is, in turn, in El Sacromonte, a very popular neighbourhood in Granada. His guitars are based on his mentor´s model, highly valued, after more than 30 years devoted to the making of flamenco and classical guitars.
The woods employed for this guitar are extraordinarily good. The german spruce top has got a very marked, straight and even grain.; the back and sides have been made with cypress wood of outstanding quality, having a very beautiful cut with an optimal seasoning process.
The sound coming out of this piece of work is something worth listening to: powerful and deep basses, the harmonics that it produces are truly magic. It has that particular timbre, so characteristic, distinguishing all his guitars. It makes a very particular kind of sound, as it has got its own character and deeply flamenco.
The tension is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard, perfectly balanced, so it is quite a comfortable guitar for both hands.
The condition is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
