Flamenco guitar Manuel Reyes Hijo 2019 EX-Diego del Morao

This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Manuel Reyes (son) in 2019. Manuel Reyes Maldonado´s son, he succeeded in learning and developing his father´s teachings, after sharing the workshop, and producing equally good guitars, regarding both the making and sound. It must be remarked the fact that in those first years of learning, those guitars were made by father and son together. It is well-known that Manuel Reyes senior was extremely refined, even more than his son. However, regarding acoustics, we believe his son made an even higher-quality product, as it represents the “white” concert guitar which his father attained, although with higher scope, and trebles particularly thick and powerful. Additionally, Manuel Reyes Jr reached a really personal timbre in his instruments, which makes it easy to differentiate them from his father´s. Although the same essence still remains, the son´s instruments remind us more of the essence of Gerundino´s guitars of the 70s.

The wood used for the top is German spruce, and spanish Cypress for back and sides. The top has a very accentuated grain, completely straight and uniform. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.

This flamenco guitar used to belong to the guitarist Diego del Morao. A guitar he used for several recordings. However, he offered us this great instrument due to its different stroking from the firm Manuel Reyes, very different from the ones of Francisco Barba and Hermanos Conde, which Diego is so much more familiar with. A guitar which has undergone an extraordinary evolution, thanks to Diego´s devotion and “hard work” with it. An already extraordinary instrument, as all his guitars, now has become something supernatural, which will be noticed instantly by any guitarist, regardless of their level.

The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent, without any cracks or repairs of any kind.
