Between 1916 and his passing in 1943, he is estimated to have built around 300 guitars. Many of the greatest guitarists of the era performed on his instruments, including Ramón Montoya, Andrés Segovia, Sabicas, Niño Ricardo, and Regino Sainz de la Maza.
