This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde Crespo, 2024, son of Felipe Conde and heir of one of the most important firms in guitar history: Hermanos Conde. This young luthier has proved he is talented enough, to say the least, for guitar making. His intruments have a careful and down-to-detail making, with a sound of the highest quality, keeping their timbre and strength typical of this firm, but also instilling his distinctive personality. There is no doubt Felipe Conde Crespo gathers all qualities necessary in order to be one the best guitar makers in Spain, and the perfect heir for the firm he represents. Those qualities are devotion and love for his work, music and the guitar.
The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones. The finishing is elegant and sober.
The sound of this flamenco guitar is simply perfect. With a powerful and flamenco tone, it emits and projects the sound like the best concert guitars, with a clarity and sound quality that only the best guitar masters are capable of achieving. Like the pau ferro guitar number 79, this guitar presents that mature and refined voice that only the best guitars achieve over the years; achieving this in a new guitar is a task that entails great difficulty, and this luthier has managed to solve it outstandingly.
The action is medium, and the string height above the fingerboard is very low. The fluidity with which the left hand works across the fingerboard together with the comfort of the touch of the right hand, thanks to a marked ‘rebound effect’, make it one of the most comfortable guitars we have tried over the years.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
