This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2017. Felipe Conde is currently the greatest representative of one of the most prestigious firms of Spanish guitar in history: Hermanos Conde. It is inevitable, just like when we talk about Hermanos Conde we all recall Paco de Lucía with his inseparable guitar from this firm, the same as Pepe Habichuela, Moraito Chico, Cepero, and an endless list of artists who captivated us with their music, born from pure genius and inspiration, where the instrument plays an essential role in the musician´s creative process. Well, this is precisely the secret of the firm. Hermanos Conde succeeded in instilling a very characteristic sound into their guitars. It was different from all the other ones, which the great musicians of that time loved, so the artist felt deeply linked to that sound when they composed and interpreted their music.
This flamenco guitar has been built with carefully selected woods: the top is made of German spruce, with a straight, even and very marked grain along its whole surface, whereas perfect cypress wood has been chosen for the back and sides.
We have an instrument with the seal of guarantee and quality from Felipe Conde.
This instrument belongs to a time when Felipe Conde had just started his business in 4 Arrieta Street, Madrid, after taking a different work path from his brother’s, leaving the Felipe V stage behind. Nevertheless, the typical making system and bracing of that period remained the same.
The sound of this guitar is really exceptional, as we can not forget it is a specially valued guitar. Its sound offers both volume and quality in large doses, apart from the fact of being such a comfortable and amusing instrument, with a multipurpose flamenco timbre, which is perfect for any of the variants of our art: concert, and accompaniment by singing and dancing
The tension is medium, very comfortable for both hands, due to the reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
