This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2020, after starting to work on his own, and not with his brother Mariano Conde, his guitars have got only his name, nobody else´s, leaving behind Hermanos Conde´s brand name and making a fresh start.
On Solera Flamenca we would like to present to our customers the new flamenco guitar model by luthier Felipe Conde: a model which accurately reproduces maestro Paco de Lucia´s guitar, which accompanied him for most of his career. With the same woods and template as the very original instrument, this guitar was made by the firm Hermanos Conde in 1975. This is an exact replica of Paco de Lucia´s favourite guitar. A guitar which, thanks to Felipe Conde´s hands, has been reproduced down to the smallest detail. (SEE NEWS)
The woods employed for this guitar is German spruce for the top and Pauferro for back and sides. The top has got a very marked, straight and even grain along its whole surface. The back and sides are made of Pauferro wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty. The original plantilla and solera used for the making of this guitar, along with the most accurate tools available at present, have resulted in an unbeatable guitar, capable of making us feel and remember the music of the “Maestro” artist on our own hands.
The sound of this guitar is simply spectacular. The pauferro wood has sound qualities nearly as good as cypress wood, with the quick response and the “aggressiveness”, but with the scope of rosewood guitars. As a “new guitar”, it is probably one of the very best guitar models, but not because of being a reedition of Maestro Paco de Lucia´s guitar, but because it brings back the sound of the best years of flamenco. The weight of the guitar body is remarkable, above average, but not uncomfortable at all when playing it. As a result, Felipe Conde has accomplished an instrument with remarkable power and volume, without compromising its sound quality.
The tension of the guitar is medium, and the height of the strings in saddle and fingerboard perfect, really balanced, which grants the performer a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
