This flamenco guitar was built in 2002 by master luthier Francisco Barba. Considered one of the finest guitar makers in the world, his guitars have been praised and are played by renowned guitarists, collectors and professionals such as Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni and Pepe Habichuela, among many others.
This flamenco guitar is built using exceptionally high-quality tonewoods. The German spruce soundboard features a perfect grain pattern: straight, uniform and beautifully pronounced across its entire surface. The cypress used for the back and sides is of outstanding beauty and exceptional quality. The purfling details and overall finish are simply flawless.
The sound of this flamenco guitar is simply wonderful. Its acoustic projection, unmistakable flamenco character and tonal quality far exceed all expectations. Its rasgueado response and the perfect balance of its bass strings in terms of depth and brightness are simply outstanding. The treble strings are bright, precise and offer an astonishing variety of harmonics.
This guitar offers the highly prized right-hand “rebound” response, combined with spectacular left-hand softness, resulting in what could be described as the “perfect instrument” for spending hours playing without fatigue, while enjoying an effortless and comfortable playing experience. The fingerboard is not as perfectly level as we would ideally like, which means that the saddle height at the bridge is somewhat lower than we would normally recommend. Nevertheless, and somewhat surprisingly, when we tested it, both Jordi and I found it to be one of the most comfortable Francisco Barba guitars we have played over the years.
The guitar is in excellent condition and entirely original, with no cracks or repairs of any kind.
