Flamenco guitar Francisco Barba 2007

This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 1977. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.

The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top are made of canadian cedar has a totally straight and even grain, which is quite accentuated. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply magnificent.

The sound emerging from this guitar possesses some special features and nuances, where the flamenco touch from this luthier can be definitely found. Its quality sound is really amazing, this is undoubtedly one of the finest guitars we have ever seen from this maker, a perfect balance between basses and trebles and an incredibly flamenco timbre that sublimely combines power and volume with quality and perfect pitch with that particular “dry” and “hollow” sound, typical in the best flamenco guitars.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium. The height of the strings in the fingerboard and saddle is very balanced, providing us with a high level of comfort for both hands, as well as simplicity for the performance itself.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any crack or repair whatsoever.
