This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 2018. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.
The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones. The edging work details and finishing are simply perfect.
This flamenco guitar has belonged to the genius of rhythm, the master Diego del Morao. Since he acquired it in 2018 from Solera Flamenca, this guitar has accompanied him in all his performances and recordings to date. A truly extraordinary guitar with ‘many hours and experiences’, which have undoubtedly contributed to evolve and ‘make’ its sound, to the point that it was hard to believe when we saw it again. An extraordinary volume, an overwhelmingly flamenco character and a ‘dry’ and ‘hollow’ timbre typical of the best guitars over 40 years old… it has it all! All in a relatively new guitar and very well cared for by the maestro. Undoubtedly: A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY.
The tension of the guitar is medium, and the height of the strings in saddle and fingerboard perfect, really balanced, which grants the performer a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this guitar is excellent, without any cracks or repairs.
