He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever, despite the facts of being self-taught and leading a bohemian life in his last years. At Solera Flamenca, we once again offer our customers a historic guitar built by the master luthier Gerundino Fernández in the year 1987 and belonging to the guitarist Juan Campos.

With this guitar, the master Moraito Chico recorded the album “Agujeta,” accompanying the voices of Diego and Luis Agujetas (except for the soleá por bulerías), an album recorded and produced by Juan Campos. (SEE NEWS)

This flamenco guitar is really spectacular, and goes to show, once more, that this luthier´s levels of sound and making quality are absolutely out of this world. It is a concert guitar purely speaking, with a great sound, similar to the one found in guitars like Manuel Reyes´s, but with the aggressiveness and flamenco tone of the guitars made by Gerundino.

This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.

The conservation condition is excellent. It only has a small and practically imperceptible crack on the upper back, perfectly repaired and documented in the attached images. The original french polish was touched up and restored by the master luthier Francisco Barba.
