Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 1967

This flamenco guitar was built in the landmark workshop Gravina Street No. 7 by the nephews of the master luthier Domingo Esteso, then run by brothers Faustino and Mariano Conde. Many were the figures who passed through this workshop suing their guitars as Paco de Lucia, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela… and much more.

This guitar belonged to the master guitarist Fernando Cortés, popularly known as ‘Remolino’.

The woods in this flamenco guitar are simply perfect. The top is made of German spruce, with an amazing grain: completely straight and uniform. The back and sides are made of an extraordinary cypress. The finishes are the typical in Conde Hermanos work: simple and elegant.

This flamenco guitar from the popular firm from Madrid has captivated us with its tone, strongly reminding us of the sound of great masters like Pepe Habichuela, Parrilla, or Paco Cepero. During this period, the Conde brothers managed to imprint the flamenco essence that made them famous into their guitars, but with even greater grandeur and a wider range of sound, turning it into an authentic concert white flamenco guitar.

This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.

The conservation condition of the guitar is excellent, without any crack or repair whatsoever. The original bridge was replaced for a simply aesthetic matter at the request of the Maestro ‘Remolino’.
