Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 1975 2ª

This flamenco guitar was built in the landmark workshop Gravina Street No. 7 by the nephews of the master luthier Domingo Esteso, then run by brothers Faustino and Mariano Conde. Many were the figures who passed through this workshop suing their guitars as Paco de Lucia, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela… and much more.

The woods have a surprisingly high quality, particulary bearing in mind the fact that we are talking about a second class guitar. The canadian cedar top has got an excellent grain, very marked and even all along its surface. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones.

This flamenco guitar possesses a sound and tone that make it unthinkable to classify it as a second-rate instrument. We are facing a guitar with an incredibly impressive sound quality that reminds us very much of the guitar of our dear and admired friend, the master Jerónimo Maya, whose guitar, built in 1971 and from which we started the project of replicas with the master craftsman Felipe Crespo, has accompanied him throughout his career. An instrument of the highest category with that “a Conde” tone from the ’70s that fascinates us so much, and with a projection comparable to the best concert guitars.

This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
