This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Domingo Esteso´s nephews in the emblematic workshop in 7 Gravina Street. This workshop was owned by Faustino and Mariano Conde. Lots of great performers have been in this workshop. For example, Paco de Lucía, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela, and so many others.
This flamenco guitar belongs to a select number of guitars built during its time, using the finest woods available and meticulous craftsmanship, resulting in top-tier instruments that are incredibly difficult to find nowadays. It is made from woods of exceptional quality that are impossible to source today. The Brazilian rosewood displays beautiful tones and grain patterns, and the Canadian cedar soundboard, with its straight and uniform grain, lends this guitar the unique quality and character typical of the renowned brand during that era.
The sound of this guitar is truly remarkable. It boasts a large, powerful tone with great amplitude and projection, revealing the essence of a true concert flamenco guitar, like those that accompanied maestro Paco throughout his career. It features that special, unmistakable timbre in the bass strings that characterizes the finest guitars of this extraordinary period.
The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent. It has only one crack on the side, completely invisible from the outside, which has been expertly repaired and is documented in the attached images. The original french polish varnish has been lightly retouched.
