Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 1978

This flamenco guitar was built in the landmark workshop Gravina Street No. 7 by the nephews of the master luthier Domingo Esteso, then run by brothers Faustino and Mariano Conde. Many were the figures who passed through this workshop suing their guitars as Paco de Lucia, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Juan Habichuela… and much more.

This guitar is made of excellent woods, impossible to obtain nowadays. Straight-grained Indian rosewood with breathtakingly beautiful shades, as well as German spruce top, also with a straight and even grain endorse the quality of this guitar with plenty of quality and character, typical of Hermanos Conde in that time.

This flamenco guitar is simply spectacular. The Indian rosewood employed to make it is exceptionally hard, similar to Brazilian rosewood, in this sense. We must mention the replacement of nitroshellac for shellac, applied “muñequilla style” (through a soft pad), which provided the guitar with magnificent sound, surprising us as soon as we play the first chord. A big, widely scoped sound. In fact, it is incredibly wide, even for the standards of this firm.
Its trebles are really accurate, and with a really open sound. In short, it is an instrument which will make us enjoy as much as we could possibly do, with this wonderful timbre the guitars of this period have.

This flamenco guitar has got medium tension, and a perfect height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent, without any single kind of crack or repair whatsoever.
