This flamenco guitar was built by the prestigious Hermanos Conde workshop in Madrid in 1998. After working together for many years at Gravina 7, Mariano Conde decided to part ways with his brother Faustino and establish his own workshop on Felipe V Street in Madrid, where he passed on the art and secrets of guitar making to his sons Mariano and Felipe Conde. They later managed the workshop until the end of 2010.

Only carefully selected premium tonewoods were used in the construction of this guitar. The soundboard is crafted from German spruce with a fine, straight and uniform grain pattern, while the back and sides are made from beautiful Spanish cypress featuring an elegant and consistent grain. Besides its striking appearance, this wood combination contributes to the fast response and authentic flamenco character of the instrument.

The sound of this flamenco guitar is outstanding and faithfully represents the character that made the Hermanos Conde name famous during this prolific period. The 1990s are widely regarded by many players and collectors as the finest era of the workshop, when the Madrid Felipe V shop was managed by brothers Felipe and Mariano Conde, sons of Mariano Conde. Instruments from this period are highly sought after for their exceptional quality and distinctive personality. This guitar offers impressive volume, immediate response and remarkable projection, combining brilliance, clarity and the unmistakable flamenco timbre associated with the finest examples from the workshop.
