This flamenco guitar was made by the young guitar-maker Jerónimo Pérez de Algodonales, in Cadiz, the year 2021. This artisan has managed to be recognised as one of the most promising guitar builders in such a short period of time, due to his own merits and his marvelous instruments. In them, he joins together a careful and dedicated construction along with the best sound, having its own personality. With this, he managed to have guitarists such as Antonio Rey, Paco Cepero, Diego del Morao, Miguel Salado, Bolita, Jesús Guerrero, Antonio Moya… etc. coming to his workshop looking for one of these instruments.
This flamenco guitar has a really special sound. Along the years we had the chance to see how maple wood provides the instrument with extraordinary scope and clarity, which we do not achieve with other woods. These two qualities are essential in a concert guitar, and they are favoured by the quick response and bright, similarly to cypress wood guitars, probably due to their lightness and density ,compared to rosewood.
Specially remarkable has to be the headstock: a traditional one, but with an internal mechanism, making accurate tuning possible, without the disadvantages of the old wooden headstocks, combining thus the beauty of the latter with the accuracy and convenience of the modern mechanical headstock.
Jerónimo Pérez is without doubt one of the five best guitar makers at the present time, he doesn’t stop evolving. With his latest guitar, Jerónimo has modified the contour and shape of the heel of the guitar, managing to raise the levels of comfort to an even higher standard. The fluidity with which the left hand works across the fingerboard together with the comfort of the touch of the right hand, thanks to a marked ‘rebound effect’, make it one of the most comfortable guitars we have tried over the years.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
