Flamenco guitar Jesús de Jiménez 2013

This flamenco guitar has been made by the guitar maker Jesús de Jiménez, from Sevilla. His guitars have been played by very popular performers, such as Paco de Lucía, Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura… being highly regarded in the last decade. He is probably one of the most promising guitar makers today.

This flamenco guitar belongs to this luthier´s first period, which does not mean it is of lower quality than the instruments to come later. It is just made with a different bracing system. We should not forget this first period as a guitar maker was when he became renowned, and great maestros of the guitar already used his instruments. For instance, Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura or Paco de Lucia himself.

The woods employed for the making of this guitar are of extraordinary beauty and quality. For example, those woods have been used after a careful seasoning process. The top has been made of German spruce, with a straight and even grain. The back and sides are made of cypress wood with an aesthetically perfect cut.

This guitar is really fun to play with a quick response and a remarkable flamenco timbre. Its power and balance are exceptional. Although it is not a concert guitar, we believe it is perfect for accompanying singing and dancing.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the heights of the strings in fingerboard and saddle are perfect, providing us with such a high degree of comfort that one will be delighted.

The condition of this guitar is excellent and completly original, without any cracks or repairs.
