Flamenco guitar José Ramírez 1967 2ª

This flamenco guitar was built by the popular José Ramirez signature in 1967, one of the most prolific periods of the firm, which flocked to his shop guitarists worldwide both classical and flamenco, Paco de Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar, Narciso Yepes, Serranito… among many others.

The woods have a surprisingly high quality, particulary bearing in mind the fact that we are talking about a second class guitar. The German spruce top has got an excellent grain, very marked and even all along its surface. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones.

This instrument is a really exceptional case. It is a second-level guitar, made for classical genre in 1967, a time when this kind of guitars were usually made of cypress. However, we are before a great instrument with a very good performance, as regards both sound and comfort, as well as volume and quality. In fact, we have decided to install some pickguards and label it as a purely flamenco guitar.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium. The height of the strings in the fingerboard and saddle is very balanced, providing us with a high level of comfort for both hands, as well as simplicity for the performance itself.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
