The Californian guitar maker Lester Devoe is the luthier who made this fine flamenco guitar, made in 1994. Lester Devoe is regarded as one of the best flamenco guitar makers in the world. In fact, his pieces of work have been praised and played by Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Sabicas… both in recording studios and live concerts.
This flamenco guitar is made of really exceptional woods of amazing quality and beauty. It was made in 1994, a fairly interesting time for this Californian luthier, as from the 90s he managed to instill some personality and timbre never seen before on this instrument, back then. He thus accomplished that peculiar sound, so “him”, stout, special, flamenco, typical of his guitars.
The making is simple, not overelaborate. In fact, it could be labelled as “minimalist”. This adjective has accompanied this luthier from the very beginning of his career, and we love it, as it is in simplicity that greatness is often found.
This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
