This flamenco guitar was built in 1987 by master luthier Manuel Reyes. His guitars are considered works of art, and he is widely recognized as one of the greatest guitar makers in history. His instruments are played by guitarists from all over the world, including Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, José Luis Postigo, Manolo Franco, and many others.

The tonewoods used for this flamenco guitar are exceptional. The German spruce soundboard features straight grain with remarkable uniformity. The cypress back and sides display straight, beautifully figured grain of outstanding quality. The finish reflects Manuel Reyes’s characteristic style: simple, understated, and elegant.

The sound quality is unsurpassed, with a deeply flamenco voice full of personality, character, and authenticity. The bass strings deliver a raw, bright tone with exceptionally deep and powerful bass response, while the trebles are sweet and crystalline, revealing a rich variety of harmonics that adds nuance, depth, and extraordinary expressiveness to the overall sound.

Rasgueados on this guitar are simply exceptional. It possesses that unmistakable broken, bright timbre found in the finest Reyes guitars, combined with an immediate response and projection that enhance the full power and character of flamenco playing. An instrument with a voice of its own, rich in nuance and personality, capable of conveying the very essence of authentic flamenco sound.

The guitar has medium string tension, with perfectly balanced string action at both the fingerboard and the bridge saddle, providing excellent playing comfort for both hands.

The guitar is in excellent condition and retains its original state throughout, with the exception of the tuning machines, which have been replaced with mechanical tuning pegs. The original tuning pegs are included with the guitar, together with the original invoice issued by Manuel Reyes’s workshop.
