Niño Seve

Born in Córdoba in 1982 under the name Severiano Jiménez Flores, Niño Seve developed an interest in flamenco guitar from an early age. At the age of twelve, he began his musical training with his uncles Manolo and Eduardo Flores, who introduced him to the Chilean musician Carlos Pacheco, from whom he studied harmony and composition. From his very first public performances, his exceptional talent was evident, soon establishing him as one of the leading figures of Córdoba’s flamenco guitar scene.

His career is supported by an impressive list of awards. In 1997 he won the First Young Flamenco Artists Competition organized by the Provincial Council of Córdoba, launching a career that would continue with some of the most prestigious distinctions in flamenco guitar. In 1999 he won the coveted “Bordón Minero” at the International Festival of Cante de las Minas in La Unión, followed by first prizes at the National Competition of Jaén, the Calasparra Competition, the Manuel Cano International Competition in Granada, the Niño Ricardo International Competition in Murcia, and the National Flamenco Art Competition in Córdoba, firmly establishing himself as one of the most acclaimed guitarists of his generation.

In addition to his career as a concert guitarist, Niño Seve has enjoyed an outstanding career as an accompanying guitarist, sharing the stage with some of flamenco’s greatest artists while demonstrating remarkable versatility. His playing, clearly influenced by the school of Vicente Amigo yet marked by a distinctive personal voice, stands out for its technical precision, rich harmonic language and exceptional ability to convey emotion without ever losing the essence of flamenco rhythm.
