This flamenco guitar was built by the maestro luthier Pedro Maldonado in his workshop in the Avda. Velazquez 59, Torremolinos (Málaga). His guitars have been used by guitarists such as Merengue de Córdoba, Moraito Chico, Parrilla de Jerez, Manuel Cano…
The woods employed for this guitar are extraordinarily good. The german spruce top has got a very marked, straight and even grain.; the back and sides have been made with cypress wood of outstanding quality, having a very beautiful cut with an optimal seasoning process. The finishes and binding works have been carved down to every detail, highly accurate and elaborate.
The sound coming out of this guitar is just spectacular. It combines volume and quality excellently. The bass are powerful and deep, and the trebles, crystal clear and with a great scope. On balance, a real flamenco sound with its own distinctive personality.
The tension is medium, very comfortable for both hands, due to the reduced height of strings in the fingerboard.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent. Only has a small fisure in the lower side practically indistinguishable and perfectly repaired and documented in the attached images. However, being on a tension-free spot, and close to the reinforcement of the guitar base, that crack does not require any additional wooden parts, with hot glue as the only element employed in the repair process.
