This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 1968. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.

The woods employed for this flamenco guitar are simply spectacular. Even though it is usual to find high quality woods in this maker´s instruments in general, the woods for this very guitar is even more remarkable, particularly the cypress. It is a really homogeneous cypress wood, with straight grain, which reminds us of the woods employed by the veteran maker Gerundino Fernández for his best guitars, back in the 70s.

This flamenco guitar is truly spectacular. Its sound projection, its irrefutable flamenco timbre, and the immense personality that this guitar exudes confirm, once again, that we are dealing with one of the most important flamenco guitar brands in history. Its rasgueo and the perfect balance of its bass strings in terms of depth and brightness are exceptional. The trebles are brilliant, precise, and offer an infinite variety of harmonics. Its timbre exhibits that characteristic hollow sound that only time grants to the best flamenco guitars.

The tension is medium, and the distance between strings in the saddle and fingerboard is perfect, all of which provide this guitar with an easy performance and a high degree of comfort for the guitarist.

The condition is excellent, and completely original. It only presents a little flaw: the joint of the top is slightly visible. A purely visual flaw which requires no repair whatsoever, neither affects the sound in any way.
