Flamenco guitar Francisco Barba 1982

This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 1982. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.

The different kinds of wood used in its construction have an excellent quality. The top is made of german spruce, with a straight, even and very marked grain along its whole surface, whereas perfect cypress wood has been chosen for the back and sides.

The sound is extraordinary, with an unbeatable character. The basses are powerful, with extraordinary depth. The trebles are crystal clear and bright, with great scope and sustain, and showing a perfect balance between both of them and with the added personality acquired as time goes by.

This guitar has got medium tension, and a reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

The condition is very good and completely original. It just has a crack located on the lower part of the top, perfectly repaired and backed up with evidence on the images attached. The guitar has been slightly touched up with french polish, without affecting the original thickness in any single way, but keeping its excellent sound features intact.
