This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 2007. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.
The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top are made of canadian cedar has a totally straight and even grain, which is quite accentuated. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply magnificent.
We are before one of the most balanced and fun guitars we have ever had on Solera Flamenca in our short but ambitious history. It is a collection guitar, very well preserved, with very few marks from use. We acquired a guitar made by maestro Francisco Barba. A “new” guitar… which is actually 16 years old, with the glue, resin and shellac completely crystallized, providing the instrument with sound and maturity levels out of this world. If we add a hard-to-believe scope, power and the character we always find in the creations of this fantastic maker, we can imagine the result. The pegbox is worth mentioning, of the highest quality possible, with the clasps in dark mother-of-pearl, designed by a German prestigious firm, currently out of business.
The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
