This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 2021. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.
This flamenco guitar is made with a certain combination of woods that we have rarely seen in other instruments made by this genius guitar maker over the years and that we have specifically commissioned because of the wonderful sound we appreciate in them. The Francisco Barba’s guitars we have usually had in possession had been built in cedar and Brazilian rosewood, but we find truly interesting the combination of cedar and Indian rosewood, since it gives us a brightness and speed of response closer to cypress but with the projection and resonance of a concert guitar. These are instruments of the highest quality made by one of the best guitar makers in history; a living legend of Spanish guitar making.
The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is reduced. The fluidity with which the left hand works across the fingerboard together with the comfort of the touch of the right hand, thanks to a marked ‘rebound effect’, make it one of the most comfortable guitars we have tried.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is new.
