Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 1967

This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Domingo Esteso´s nephews in the emblematic workshop in 7 Gravina Street. This workshop was owned by Faustino and Mariano Conde. Lots of great performers have been in this workshop. For example, Paco de Lucía, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela, and so many others.

This flamenco guitar is built with superior quality woods, impossible to obtain nowadays. The German spruce sound top has a perfect veining: straight, uniform and very marked over its entire surface, the back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty. The finishes are the typical ones of Hermanos Conde.

The sound of this flamenco guitar is simply astonishing. We do encourage our customers to completely ignore the aesthetic side of the instrument when it comes to purchasing one. In this guitar, you will find a true gem with unique sound quality, unmatched character. You will also find powerful bass, as well as straightforward and accurate treble, through which an endless variety of harmonics flow, thus delighting the connoisseurs.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium. The height of the strings in the fingerboard and saddle is very balanced, providing us with a high level of comfort for both hands, as well as simplicity for the performance itself.

The condition is very good. It has a crack on the upper part of the top, and another one on the upper side. Both of them are perfectly repaired, as proven in the images attached. The former owner decided to varnish the worn out parts in the top and sides. However, he did not remove the original varnish, which created a somewhat unsightly effect. Nevertheless, we have decided not to repair it, in order to preserve the incredible sound quality this great instrument has.
