This flamenco guitar is built by the prestigious firm Conde Hermanos from Madrid, in 1990, the period of the best splendor after the death of Faustino and Mariano Conde late 80s early 90. After working together for years on the street Gravina 7, Mariano Conde decided to leave his brother Faustino and open, with her children Felipe and Mariano Conde, his own workshop in the street Felipe V in Madrid. They have run the workshop until 2010 maintaining the building line and tradition that his father and uncle were transmitted.
This flamenco guitar was built with excellent woods. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood of outstanding beauty and quality, with a straight grain and beautiful tones. The finishes are the typical ones of Hermanos Conde.
This flamenco guitar is unique, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It belonged to maestro Moraito Chico for a long time during his career, and there are plenty of videos of this instrument accompanying great flamenco artists. This is the first rosewood guitar with which maestro Moraito got on stage, as he had only been seen with cypress wood guitars, so far. This flamenco guitar was signed by the Spanish King Juan Carlos during a ceremony which took place in the Reales Alcázares de Sevilla (Seville Royal Fortresses) in June 1991. In this event, renowned artists like Pansequito, Aurora Vargas or Juan Peña aka “El Lebrijano” performed, among others. An instrument of the highest level, with part of the musical soul of one of the best guitarists in the history of flamenco. It should be noted that this guitar appears in many videos and on the artist’s album “Morao y Oro”.
The tension of the guitar is medium, and the height of the strings in saddle and fingerboard perfect, really balanced, which grants the performer a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
Along with the guitar, a certificate of authenticity will be delivered.
