This flamenco guitar has been made by the guitar maker Jesús de Jiménez, from Sevilla. His guitars have been played by very popular performers, such as Paco de Lucía, Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura… being highly regarded in the last decade. He is probably one of the most promising guitar makers today.

During the last year 2017, Jesús de Jiménez has introduced some modifications in the making process of his guitars, with which has reached the highest levels of comfort and artistic quality in every instrument made.

The woods employed for the making of this guitar are of extraordinary beauty and quality. For example, those woods have been used after a careful seasoning process. The top has been made of German spruce, with a straight and even grain. The back and sides are made of cypress wood with an aesthetically perfect cut.

This instrument has an exceptional sound. The trebles are crystal-clear and powerful, with a spectacularly surrounding sustain. The bass strings are brilliant, of extraordinary clarity, which is particularly valued as regards the techniques of strumming or “alzapúa” (strumming with the thumb), as it allows us to perfectly hear every single nuance. Jesús’s guitars of this second period are no doubt a breakthrough in quality, which boosted him to the top positions of Spanish luthiers.

The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
