This flamenco guitar was built by master luthier Manuel Reyes hijo in 2025. Son of the prestigious guitar maker Manuel Reyes Maldonado, he has successfully learned and developed his father’s teachings, sharing the workshop with him until his retirement. This has resulted in guitars with identical construction and tonal characteristics.

Once again, we have received a guitar by Manuel Reyes hijo, and once again, it does not fail to impress.

The woods used for this flamenco guitar include German spruce for the soundboard and Spanish cypress for the back and sides. These tonewoods have been aged for over 50 years and come from the exceptional stock carefully selected and preserved by Manuel Reyes Sr., now used by his son with the utmost precision and respect.

As collectors and enthusiasts of the Manuel Reyes tradition know, his son’s guitars fully preserve the family character while offering a slightly more aggressive tone, outstanding volume, and exceptional tonal richness.

From the very first moment, this guitar feels like a mature instrument, as if it had already developed over a decade. However, what truly sets it apart is its remarkable evolution: within six months to a year, the sound improves significantly. The result is an instrument with the unmistakable Reyes school character, enhanced by greater projection and brilliant trebles.
