This flamenco guitar was built in 2006 by master luthier Vicente Carrillo. His craftsmanship is rooted in the long-standing Carrillo family tradition, of which he represents the seventh generation. This legacy earned him both the Regional Craftsmanship Award of Castilla-La Mancha and the National Craftsmanship Award in 2010.
His guitars are internationally recognized and played by renowned artists such as Juan Manuel Cañizares, Niño Josele, and Javier Limón. Notably, the legendary Paco de Lucía trusted Carrillo guitars for recording his album Cositas Buenas.
The tonewoods used in this instrument are of exceptional quality. The top is crafted from German spruce, featuring a straight, uniform, and pronounced grain. The back and sides are made from premium cypress, beautifully cut and perfectly seasoned.
This “Paco de Lucía” model is increasingly rare on today’s market due to the limited number produced and the strong attachment owners tend to develop to these instruments.
In our opinion, this period of the maker represents one of his finest. The tonal character, projection, and structural solidity of the sound are outstanding. These guitars were built using a traditional Torres-style bracing system, later replaced in his “Pasión” models by the lattice bracing system. What you find here is a consistent, powerful sound with a distinctly flamenco character, making it one of the best value-for-money options in the second-hand guitar market.
This guitar stands out for its impressive volume and exceptional playability, thanks to the smooth feel along the fingerboard and the low string resistance in the left hand.
The condition is excellent and original, with no cracks or repairs. Only minor signs of use are visible on the finish.
